NGO - Fundraising Specialist

Hospice Egypt is a project of Jossab foundation that provides hospice services that improve the quality of life and allow the terminal patient to pass away in dignity. Terminally ill patients are patients who no longer receive curative treatment and are receiving hospice care. It also provides support to the family members of the patient even after the patient passes away.

Hospice Egypt services are completely free of charge to adult terminally ill patients regardless of their race, religion, gender, or socioeconomic class.

The project receives patients referred from different referral bodies and provides its services which are nursing, medical, social, psychological, and financial support through its trained multidisciplinary mobile hospice team.

Hospice Egypt continues to meet its mission and develop its services by establishing a new stationary hospice building to serve terminally ill patients who have no caregivers supporting them.

Job responsibilities:

• Develop and update databases of donors including individuals and corporates with contacts and preferences
• Initiate and develop creative and innovative fundraising ideas off- and online.
• Identify prospects of building and maintaining a pipeline to grow donor partnerships.
• Help in putting the budget plans.
• Track and report progress against targets to the foundation manager.
• Networking Hospice Egypt with the interested donors including individuals and corporates.
• Write proposals to the local and international NGOs which are interested in Hospice Egypt mission
• Build new relationships through a series of zoom meetings and follow up activities.
• Inform Hospice Egypt with the needed materials and documents to be delivered to donors according to their needs.

Job requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in working at NGOs and being responsible for fundraising.
• Education: Economics, marketing, or business major.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
