Pixie Wings is a new EYFS nursery and preschool, located in ElSheikh Zayed, El Yasmin Compound.

It aims to provide high-quality care and education for children age 6 months - 4 years, with focus on creating a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

Role Description

The Pixie Wings English Class Teacher will be responsible for the care, development, and early education of walking babies and toddlers (Age 1 to 2.5 years). The teacher will work closely with the Director and will be supported by a co-teacher and classroom assistant for learning activities, hygiene, and care routines. The ideal candidate will be warm, nurturing, and knowledgeable in child development and will follow the British EYFS framework, with a commitment to creating a safe and stimulating environment that supports each child's individual needs. She will work with the nursery manager in developing the suitable educational curriculum and required activities for her class.

Qualifications

·        Provide a caring, secure, and developmentally appropriate environment for children.

·        Plan group activities (story time, music, role play, arts & crafts).

·        Support early communication, vocabulary building, and pre-writing skills.

·        Encourage self-help skills (washing hands, dressing, tidying up).

·        Manage transitions between activities for older toddlers.

·        Build strong, trusting, and responsive relationships with each child in your care.

·        Maintain a consistent routine that includes structured play, learning activities, meals/snacks, rest time, and outdoor play.

·        Collaborate with the matron to ensure hygienic and safe hygiene, cleaning and toileting routines are consistently followed.

·        Regularly observe and document each child's development and share updates with the Director and parents.

·        Foster open communication with families and provide feedback on daily routines, milestones, and developmental progress.

·        Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children at all times by adhering to nursery policies and EYFS standards.

·        Maintain a clean, calm, and organized classroom environment suitable for children's exploration, learning, and comfort.

• Support in organizing child-friendly events or activities as requested by the Director.
• Engage in continuous professional development related to infant care and early childhood education.
