Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will support children in developing the skills needed for daily living, learning, and participation across home, school, and community settings. This role plays a key part in delivering individualized, evidence-based interventions that promote independence, confidence, and overall well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and evaluations
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings
  • Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices
  • Support skill development in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure consistency and carryover of goals
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports in line with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines, child safeguarding policies, and health authority regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid DHA License or Eligibility (required)
  • Experience working with children, particularly children on the autism spectrum (preferred)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Compassionate, patient, and child-focused approach to therapy
