Job Summary
Scidecs is seeking an experienced Odoo Developer to join our Bangalore team for a Saudi Arabiabased ERP project. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise across both Odoo functional and technical domains, with hands-on experience in multiple Odoo modules, end-to-end implementations, customization, and integrations. The role requires close collaboration with functional consultants, project managers, and Saudi-based stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality ERP solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into Odoo-based solutions aligned with Saudi business and regulatory needs.
- Configure and customize Odoo modules to support business processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and propose optimal solutions.
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing), training, and post-go-live support.
- Provide functional documentation, including business process flows and user guides.
Technical Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules using Python and Odoo framework.
- Customize views, workflows, reports, and dashboards using XML, QWeb, and JavaScript.
- Design and develop custom Odoo addons and enhancements.
- Perform integrations with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
- Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs across Odoo applications.
- Handle Odoo upgrades, migrations, and version compatibility.
- Manage PostgreSQL database queries, performance tuning, and data migration.
- Ensure adherence to Odoo development best practices and coding standards.
Required Odoo Module Expertise
The candidate should have strong working knowledge of most (if not all) of the following modules:
- Sales Management
- Purchase Management
- Inventory / Warehouse Management
- Accounting & Finance
- CRM
- HRMS (Payroll, Attendance, Leaves)
- Project Management
- Manufacturing (MRP)
- POS
- Invoicing & Payments
- Website / eCommerce (preferred)
Experience with Saudi localization, VAT configuration, and compliance is a strong advantage.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Odoo development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Odoo ORM, and PostgreSQL.
- Solid experience with XML, QWeb, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with Odoo versions (v13, v14, v15, v16 or higher preferred).
- Strong understanding of MVC architecture and Odoo framework.
- Experience in Linux environments and deployment.
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with Saudi-based clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willingness to work on international (Saudi) projects and align with client timelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working on Middle East / Saudi projects.
- Knowledge of Arabic localization or regional compliance requirements.
- Experience in multi-company and multi-currency setups.
- Exposure to cloud deployment (AWS, Odoo.sh, or similar).
