Position Overview:
The On-Track Equipment Operator operates the On-Track Equipment such as tampers, dynamic stabilizers, ballast distribution system, ballast regulators, sand removal machines and other associated machines. In addition, performs operator's maintenance on the machines.
Roles and Responsibility:
- Works under the instruction of the On-Track Equipment Production Supervisor & Foreman.
- Operates the equipment in accordance with the operating manual and specifications
- Responsible for the equipment.
- Performs operator's maintenance on the equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedules as per manufacturer's specifications.
- Ensures all activities are performed safely, within relevant regulatory and company requirements, and in accordance with HSEC standards.
- Conducts PS, PIC and WS duties.
- Trains and instructs trainees on the operation of the on-track equipment.
Academic Qualifications:
- Diploma in Relevant Fields.
Professional Qualifications:
- Certificate of competence to operate maintenance equipment.
- Knowledge of Track Geometry.
- Full driving license (light and heavy).
Experience:
- Relevant industry experience.
Other Skills:
- English as first language or advanced level of written and verbal skill.
- Ability to operate highly concentrated and accurately especially under stress of deadlines.
- Ability to operate independently under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a multicultural team.
