We are looking for a talented OpenShift Engineer/Operator to oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of our OpenShift environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and containerized applications, with a strong understanding of DevOps principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters in a production environment.
- Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and scalability of OpenShift clusters and applications.
- Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application deployments and ensure smooth integration with OpenShift.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous integration and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift clusters, containerized applications, and networking.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and data protection standards.
- Document OpenShift configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Stay current with OpenShift updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred, not required).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security in a containerized environment.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Required Certifications (any of the following):
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration
- Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
Preferred Certification:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
- Docker Certified Associate
