Our client is a fast-growing, highly agile international trading business specializing in agrochemicals across African and emerging markets.
We are currently hiring an Operational Management Accountant for our client in Dubai. We do not need a traditional bean counter. We are seeking a commercially aggressive, CIMA-qualified Management Accountant who thrives in operations. You will sit at the intersection of finance, supply chain, and commercial strategy. Your primary mandate is to protect our margins, optimize our stock movements, and provide the CEO with forward-looking, actionable data.
Operational Stock Control: Track, analyse, and report on the movement of high-value inventory across multiple international borders and warehouses. Identify slow-moving stock and recommend liquidation or reallocation strategies.
MIS & Real-Time Reporting: Design, build, and maintain robust Management Information Systems (MIS). You must translate raw data into clear, concise daily/weekly dashboards for the CEO, highlighting cash flow, margin erosion, and operational bottlenecks.
Commercial Forecasting: Build dynamic financial models for upcoming agricultural seasons. Forecast cash flow requirements for bulk purchases, freight costs, and delayed payment cycles typical in emerging markets.
Margin & Pricing Analysis: Evaluate landed costs (including freight, customs, and demurrage) versus local market selling prices to ensure profit margins are protected before a single container is shipped.
Cross-Functional Problem Solving: Act as the financial bridge between logistics, sales, and the CEO. When a supply chain issue arises, you will model the financial impact of the Plan B immediately.
Qualifications:
Fully qualified CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants). Note: We are specifically looking for management/operational accounting backgrounds; traditional audit-focused CAs will not be the right fit for this operational role.
