Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar. As an Operations Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting operational excellence through data analysis, workflow optimization, and continuous process improvement. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, financial data, and operational performance metrics to generate actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, procurement, and project management to drive efficiency, support informed decision-making, and ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collecting, cleaning, and interpreting operational data from multiple sources, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and recommending data-driven solutions. You will develop and maintain dashboards, performance reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational health and progress. You will also assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost-benefit analyses. The role requires proactive communication with internal teams, clients, vendors, and other external partners. You will be expected to document standard operating procedures, support the implementation of new systems or tools, and participate in the onboarding of technology partners. Regular reporting on operational performance and project status to senior management will be a key component of this role.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., Six Sigma, CFA, CPA, PMP) is an advantage.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the proven ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, spot anomalies, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization) and PowerPoint. Experience with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Python is highly desirable.
- Process Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of company registrations, incorporations, procurement processes, supply chain fundamentals, and contract management.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly and concisely for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external partners.
- Customer Service & Problem-Solving: Demonstrated experience in customer service or client-facing roles, with strong problem-solving capabilities and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Collaboration & Independence: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Experience: Prior experience in operations analysis, business process improvement, project management, or a similar analytical role is strongly preferred (typically 2–5 years).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the energy sector (oil & gas, renewables, or utilities), industrial services, engineering, or construction is an added benefit.
- Language: Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
- Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in Qatar (valid QID and transferable sponsorship preferred).
Working Conditions
