Overview
A fast-scaling global financial platform is hiring a Business Operations Manager (Individual Contributor) to support the end-to-end execution of its institutional business unit.
This role supports institutional clients such as market makers, funds, brokers, banks, custodians, and family offices. You will act as the operational backbone of the institutional function ensuring product enablement, commercial initiatives, payment flows, and go-to-market programs are executed accurately, efficiently, and at scale.
This is a high-visibility role requiring precision, coordination ability, and strong execution discipline within a fast-paced trading environment.
Core Responsibilities
1. Institutional Operations & Enablement
- Support daily operational workflows across institutional products and services
- Act as an internal coordination point for onboarding, account setup, permissions, and product activation
- Facilitate operational readiness across trading, finance, risk, and client coverage teams
- Monitor execution quality and escalate issues affecting institutional clients
2. Cross-Functional Delivery
- Coordinate with Product, Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless rollout of new initiatives
- Support operational implementation of new institutional products, pricing programs, and commercial frameworks
- Track and resolve operational bottlenecks impacting client experience
3. Payment, Rebate & Settlement Operations
- Support calculation and processing of institutional rebates, commissions, and incentive structures
- Coordinate closely with finance and payment teams to ensure timely settlement
- Reconcile payment flows and investigate discrepancies
- Maintain structured, audit-ready documentation for all institutional payment activity
4. Go-To-Market & Institutional Event Support
- Support execution of institutional marketing and client engagement initiatives (roadshows, conferences, product launches, webinars, client events)
- Coordinate logistics, approvals, materials readiness, and post-event follow-up
- Track event impact, client engagement metrics, and follow-through actions
- Support structured reporting on GTM effectiveness and pipeline conversion
5. Process Governance & Operational Scalability
- Document and maintain SOPs, workflows, and control standards
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, operational efficiency, and scalability
- Support internal audits and compliance-related operational reviews
6. Data Tracking & Reporting
- Maintain institutional performance trackers and dashboards
- Support reporting across client activity, rebates, operational SLAs, and OKR progress
- Ensure consistency and data integrity across internal systems
Profile
Required Experience
- 25 years in operations, business operations, middle office, or commercial operations within financial services, trading, fintech, or digital asset environments
- Experience supporting institutional clients, brokers, or partner programs
- Exposure to settlement, rebates, commissions, or financial reconciliation processes
- Strong coordination skills across multiple internal stakeholders
- High ownership mindset with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with structured data, reporting tools, and spreadsheets
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
Preferred
- Exposure to institutional trading concepts (margin, funding, liquidation, settlement cycles, etc.)
- Experience working alongside Risk, Compliance, or Finance teams
- Background in fast-growth or high-performance financial organizations
- Experience supporting client-facing marketing or commercial initiatives
