Operator, Slickline

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for raising and lowering downhole tools (e.g. bailers, pulling tools, stems and running tools) with a
wire cable to test and maintain wells. Retrieve and install valves, plugs and pressure regulators. Lower and
raise downhole tools and plugs to proper depth and direct the fishing tools used to retrieve broken or lost wire
or equipment.

uF0B7 Interact with third parties whose activities could negatively impact slickline job execution process to
ensure proper coordination.
uF0B7 Consult with customers about products and services and promote good customer relations on site.
uF0B7 Rig-up equipment in accordance with accepted procedures.
uF0B7 Ensure relevant data is recorded and collected.
uF0B7 Use weight indicator gauges and depth counters to monitor the tension and depth of the slickline.
uF0B7 Perform on-site emergency unit / equipment maintenance.
uF0B7 Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to
supervisor.
uF0B7 Attends weekly Safety Meetings.
uF0B7 Review, understand and implement operational (OS), and technical standards including other company
requirements for each task performed.
uF0B7 Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of
practice.
uF0B7 Performs other similar or related duties as assigned by Supervisor.

uF0B7 Maintain all tools, safety gear and equipment provided by company safely and in working condition.
uF0B7 Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that may not be in good working condition.
Time Management
uF0B7 Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
uF0B7 Inform the Maintenance Supervisor in case additional resources are required to carry out the job within
the assigned time frame.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
uF0B7 Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating
procedures, modification of functional processes, machinery or equipment.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
uF0B7 Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures
& controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with
international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices and to ensure integrity and
safety of assets.
Housekeeping
uF0B7 Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during and after executing the job, in line with
established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.
Reports
uF0B7 Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports
for Company Management.
uF0B7 Provide input for the preparation of Method statements and initiate Near Miss reports.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
uF0B7 Regular contacts with all Supervisors and Operators for follow-up on slickline services.
uF0B7 Regular contact with Team Leaders in other departments.
External
uF0B7 Regular contact with clients to discuss slickline services and HSE matters.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualification
uF0B7 High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
uF0B7 2 years of relevant experience.
uF0B7 Fluency in written and spoken English.
uF0B7 Excellent computer skills.
