Role Summary
We are hiring an experienced Oracle Applications DBA (8+ years) to own the reliability, performance, and security of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2 and its database stack. The ideal candidate also has strong hands-on expertise in Oracle Identity Management / Access Management (OIM/OIG, OAM) and enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO)—including integrating EBS with corporate identity providers (e.g., Microsoft Azure AD).
Key Responsibilities
E-Business Suite & Database
- Administer and optimize EBS R12.2 (apps tier on WebLogic), including online patching (adop/EBR), cloning (Rapid Clone), configuration, and environment refreshes (DEV/TEST/PROD).
- Manage Oracle Database (12c/19c+): installation, upgrades, patching (RUs/CPUs), RMAN backup/restore, Data Guard DR, RAC/ASM (where applicable), and performance tuning (AWR/ASH, SQL tuning).
- Own release/change management for tech stack (AD/TXK, ATG, OAF bundles) and coordinate with functional teams for cutovers.
- Monitor capacity, JVM/CM throughput, and application health; automate routine tasks (shell/PLSQL/Ansible).
Identity & Access Management / SSO
- Design, implement, and support SSO for EBS using Oracle Access Manager (OAM 11g/12c) and EBS AccessGate/Asserter (as applicable).
- Administer Oracle Identity Manager / Oracle Identity Governance (OIM/OIG) for user lifecycle (provisioning/de-provisioning), access policies, and EBS connectors.
- Administer directory services (OUD/OID) and integrations with corporate IdPs (e.g., Azure AD/Entra ID) using SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0; manage certificates/keystores and MFA/step-up policies.
- Own IAM/SSO hardening, patching (WebLogic/OAM/OIG), and auditing/compliance (SOX/ISO).
Operations & Governance
- Establish SOPs/runbooks, DR playbooks, and security baselines; keep environments current with quarterly patch cycles.
- Drive root-cause analysis (RCA) and continual performance improvements across app/DB/IAM layers.
- Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation and major releases.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years as an Oracle Apps DBA supporting EBS R12.2 in production.
- Solid Oracle DB (12c/19c) skills: RAC/ASM, RMAN, performance tuning (AWR/ASH/SQL profiles), Data Guard.
- Strong hands-on with OAM (11g/12c), OIM/OIG, and OUD/OID; proven delivery of SSO for EBS and federation with external IdPs (SAML 2.0).
- Proficient with Linux (Oracle Linux/RHEL), shell scripting, and environment automation.
- Experience executing online patching (adop/EBR), ETCC remediation, and end-to-end EBS cloning.
- Clear understanding of security hardening, certificates/SSL, and change control in regulated environments.
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's in Computer Science/Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications a plus: Oracle Database, Oracle EBS, OAM/OIG, OCI.
