Job Summary
Responsible for providing the technical and operational resources required to manage, maintain, and enhance enterprise resource systems based on
Oracle E-Business Suite.This role is specifically focused on
Oracle Apps DBA responsibilities, managing both the Application Tier and Database Tier of Oracle EBS environments.
It is
not limited to standalone Oracle Database Administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environments as an Oracle Apps DBA.
- Administer both Application Tier and Database Tier in an integrated EBS architecture.
- Perform installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades of Oracle EBS.
- Manage application servers using Oracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Application Server.
- Administer Oracle databases within the EBS environment (not as a standalone DBA role).
- Manage high availability environments using Oracle RAC.
- Monitor and tune performance across both applications and databases.
- Handle backup and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot incidents and ensure system availability.
- Manage server operating systems such as Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Implement security best practices across the EBS environment.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- Oracle Apps DBA (EBS)
- (Candidates with only Oracle DBA experience will not be considered)
- Certification in Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)- (preferred, not mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Oracle E-Business Suite Applications Administration
- Managing Apps Tier & DB Tier
- Strong knowledge of:
- Oracle WebLogic Server
- Oracle RAC
