Job Description

Job Overview:

The Oracle Lead CC&B Support Engineer is responsible for leading the day-to-day support, administration, and enhancement of Oracle Utilities Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) applications. This role combines deep technical expertise, functional understanding of utility business processes, and leadership skills to ensure system stability, performance, and alignment with business requirements in a mission-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and bugs.
  • Customize workflows, business rules, and user interfaces.
  • Support integration with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, GIS).
  • Manage data migration and transformation tasks.
  • Utilize technical skills in SQL, Java, XML, and Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).

Admin Responsibilities:

  • Monitor system performance to ensure high availability.
  • Resolve login issues and handle user creation.
  • Apply patches, support system upgrades and perform housekeeping tasks.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day functional support for Oracle CC&B.
  • Configure the system based on business requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to align system behavior with business needs.
  • Apply domain knowledge of utility industry processes and CC&B modules (Customer Information, Billing, Payments, etc.).

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 - 8 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities CC&B.
  • 3+ years of L2/L3 production support experience in a utility environment.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring application support teams.
  • Strong expertise in Oracle Utilities CC&B architecture and modules.
  • Solid hands-on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF).
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of Java and XML.
  • Experience with CC&B batch framework, algorithms, business objects, and UI configurations.
