Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases while supporting business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database systems
- Monitor database performance and tune queries for optimal efficiency
- Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN
- Manage database security, users, roles, and permissions
- Handle database upgrades, patches, and migrations
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
- Ensure high availability using RAC, Data Guard, or standby databases
- Automate routine DBA tasks using shell scripting or PL/SQL
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams
- Maintain documentation for database configurations and processes
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or later)
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
- Experience with backup & recovery (RMAN)
- Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization
- Familiarity with Oracle RAC and Data Guard
- Understanding of Linux/Unix environments
- Experience in database monitoring tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
- Oracle certification (OCA/OCP)
- Exposure to DevOps practices

- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with database security and auditing
