Oracle Developer

- JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions using Oracle technologies. This includes creating and maintaining databases, writing SQL and PL/SQL code, and developing applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). The developer may also work on integrating Oracle systems with other technologies and platforms, as well as troubleshooting. Additionally, expected to have experience with database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.

- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases in accordance with industry best practices and organizational standards.

Develop and maintain database scripts and stored procedures for data manipulation, data integration, and data reporting.

Perform database performance tuning and optimization, including troubleshooting and resolving performance issues.

Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backup and recovery procedures, and monitoring and managing database security.

Work closely with developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to provide support and assistance with database-related tasks.

Stay current with new technologies and advancements in the field, and recommend and implement changes as necessary to improve the performance and functionality of the databases.

Participate in the design and implementation of new systems and applications, and provide guidance and input on database-related design decisions.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to other IT teams and staff, and help to resolve complex technical issues.

- QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

5+ years of experience with SQL, PLSQL extensive skills with Database integrations replication and design.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

Engineering, Data Modeling.

SQL / PLSQL strong experience.

Apex experience.

Demonstrated experience in writing clean scripts/code quickly.

Strong organizational skills, able to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize the results.

Understand how to design, implement, and maintain a platform providing secured access to large datasets

Experience developing data visualization and reporting with tools such Tableau, Power BI or similar software is a plus.
