Job Overview
To contribute to the success of the team and the organization in achieving the vision of the division and ABH by managing all business requirements related to key modules of Oracle EPM to ensure to optimize the use of Oracle EPM by all Group Companies.
Responsible for the administration, development, maintenance, smooth operation and accuracy of Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) application.
Collaborate with executive management, operations, and finance to support complex financial reporting.
To serve as the strategic interface to the Finance and planning business for the purpose of implementation, configuring, solution design, and support through functional analysis, Oracle cloud configuration, and creating extensions when core configurations would not work.
Specific areas of responsibility would be FCCS, EPBCS, Narrative Reporting, Smart View and any other system required to support business requirements.
Key Accountabilities
Key performance area 1: Business Performance
- Responsible for the daily management, support, and maintenance of the modules in the Oracle EPM business applications at ABH, specifically being:
- FCCS
- EPBCS
- TRCS
- Narrative Reporting
- Engage business users spanning multiple business units and ensure cohesive articulation of business goals and processes to ensure effective technology solutions.
- Provide functional and technical expertise to effectively design and implement and support EPM modules.
- Work under a continued improvement culture, challenging ideas and finding solutions to problems.
- Manage the delivery of application enhancement programs through BPM and BPR.
- Manage ABH IT resources assigned to support the above listed modules.
- To be the key driver of the use of business applications throughout ABH
- To ensure Business Process Documentation and End User Manuals are up to date, maintained properly and available to all.
- To comply with company policies and procedures.
- To comply with data security measures as per information security policies and procedures
- To study business user information needs, confer with users, and study systems flow, data usage, and work processes to develop sustainable software solutions.
- Identify ways to target reduction of printouts used in decision making, digitize current physical workflows and other ways to comply with ABH Green IT Policy.
- Incorporate standardization in application development services as per IT Service Management standards and corporate best practices for all services assigned from the IT Service catalogue.
- To implement application specific recommendations from internal/external auditors.
- To implement controls required by Federal or Local Government Laws & Regulations.
Key performance area 2: Financial Reporting, Accuracy and Reliability of reports/application
- Custodian and responsible for financial numbers and data in the application.
- Finalization and Closing of the period with accurate numbers and reports in application.
- Liaison and helping users and businesses to complete the reporting in EPM.
- Finalization of reports and consoles in EPM.
- Understanding and resolving the reporting related issues faced by users and finance teams across the ABH group.
Key performance area 3: Customers and Partner Relations
- To coordinate provision of excellence customer service to all business application users while maintaining professional standards
- To coordinate activities to respond promptly to internal customers request for support.
- To maintain effective working relationships and interaction with users to ensure alignment of EPM and business objectives.
- Identifying and implementing various initiatives to improve user satisfaction and IT support.
- To collect user feedback to improve service levels and to meet commitments to internal customers.
- To resolve helpdesk issues as per the SLA's
- To collect EPM training requirements from the different divisions and coordinate internal and external training sessions.
- Partner with key super users to develop and evolve the applications within the suite while ensuring a stable, productive environment.
- Provide end user support and training for Planning, Financial Close, Financial Reporting and Smart View.
Formal Qualifications and Experience
- A professional degree or equivalent in finance (CA / CMA)
- Deep understanding of accounting principles viz., US GAAP, IFRS, FASB etc.
- 5-6 years working environment as an EPM Consultant / System Analyst.
- At least 2-3 full life cycle implementation of EPBCS, FCCS, ARCS and other planning modules.
- At least 3+ years of experience supporting Oracle Cloud EPM Financial applications (Integrations, EPM automate, batch scripting, data management)
- Expert level knowledge of Oracle EPM suite of products viz., EPBCS, EPCM, FCCS, ARCS, EDMCS, DRM, Financial and narrative reporting, smart view.
- Working knowledge of the functional aspects of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statements.
- Understanding of currency translations, inter-company eliminations, and consolidation accounting under various GAAPs and IFRS.
- Expert level knowledge of Advanced Member Formula and Calc Manager.
- Experience and expertise of data integration tools such as OCI, FDMEE, EPM Integration Agent.
- Solid scripting knowledge is essential for writing custom consolidations, translation logic, business rules, Data Management and EPM Automation.
- Hands on experience in creating configuration, calculation manager, webforms, reports and dashboards, business rules, member formulas.
- Deep understanding of the metadata maintenance, dimensions, and their attributes along with the EPBCS Standard dimensions.
- Oracle EPM product certifications and Cloud experience are a plus.
- Familiarity with EPM Automate commands for process automation.
