Summary:

The Packing Materials Planner is responsible for ensuring the availability of all packing and packaging materials required for production and shipments. This role focuses on planning, monitoring inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting production schedules to avoid any line stoppage due to packing material shortages.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and manage the supply of packing materials (cartons, trays, grids, ESD bags, labels, pallets, etc.) based on the production plan and customer demand.

· Run MRP and review requirements to generate purchase requisitions for packaging materials.

· Monitor stock levels and maintain the agreed safety stock / buffer stock.

· Coordinate with the purchasing team and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.

· Track supplier performance and escalate risks related to shortages or delays.

· Support production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.

· Manage and follow up on open purchase orders and delivery schedules.

· Analyze consumption trends and optimize inventory levels.

· Participate in S&OE / S&OP meetings to align packaging materials with the production plan.

· Work closely with logistics to ensure packaging availability for customer shipments.

· Support cost reduction initiatives such as kanban system, milk run, and lean improvements.

· Handle urgent escalations related to packaging shortages and propose recovery plans.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.

· 3–5 years of experience in materials planning or supply chain, preferably in manufacturing or automotive industry.

· Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and MRP planning.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
