Job Title: Painting Coating Inspector (QA/QC)

Job Responsibilities:

Perform inspection of surface preparation and coating applications as per project specifications

Ensure compliance with approved procedures, ITPs, and international standards

Conduct and record tests such as DFT, adhesion, holiday testing, and environmental checks

Monitor contractor activities and ensure quality requirements are met

Prepare and maintain inspection reports and documentation

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams for inspections and approvals

Identify non-conformances (NCRs) and follow up on corrective actions

Qualification:

Mechanical Engineering Degree / Diploma or equivalent

Years of Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience as a Painting / Coating Inspector in Oil & Gas / EPC projects

Experience in GCC projects is preferred

Exposure to both onshore and offshore projects is an advantage

Certifications (Mandatory)

BGAS / NACE Level 2 or equivalent

Knowledge of international coating standards (ISO, SSPC, ASTM)

Skills and Knowledge

Strong knowledge of surface preparation standards (e.g., Sa 2.5, power tool cleaning, blasting)

Experience in coating inspection, application, and testing

Familiarity with paint systems, specifications, and procedures

Ability to interpret P&IDs, drawings, and coating specifications

Knowledge of inspection tools such as DFT gauge, holiday detector, dew point meter

Understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, and method statements

Good communication and reporting skills

Additional Requirements

Experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects is mandatory

GCC experience is preferred

Ability to work in a multinational team environment
