The Opportunity
An international law firm with a strong presence in the Middle East is seeking a highly motivated Finance Paralegal to join its Dubai office. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside leading banking and finance lawyers on complex cross-border financing transactions for regional and international clients.
The successful candidate will support a busy debt finance practice advising banks, financial institutions, sponsors, and corporate borrowers across a range of financing matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting lawyers on a broad range of debt finance and banking transactions, including syndicated loans, acquisition finance, and general corporate lending
- Preparing and formatting finance documentation, including facility agreements, security documents, and ancillary transaction documents
- Managing conditions precedent (CP) checklists and assisting with closing processes
- Coordinating with clients, lenders, and local counsel across multiple jurisdictions
- Conducting legal research and preparing internal summaries and transaction bibles
- Maintaining deal documentation and managing electronic data rooms
- Supporting post-completion filings and document management
Requirements
- Previous experience as a paralegal in a banking, finance, or corporate practice at an international or leading regional law firm
- Familiarity with loan documentation and finance transactions
- Strong organisational and document management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced international environment
- A law degree or relevant legal qualification is preferred
- Arabic language skills would be desirable
