Job Description

Overseeing and managing the end-to-end payroll process to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll execution for all employees. The role ensures adherence to local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies, while continuously improving payroll processes, systems, and controls. The Payroll Lead acts as a key point of contact between Payroll, Finance, HR, and external providers to deliver a seamless and reliable payroll experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process monthly payroll for employees across multiple locations, ensuring accuracy in salary payments, deductions, bonuses, and tax withholdings.
  • Ensure payroll execution complies with local labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee the automation of payroll workflows, reducing manual processes and errors.
  • Maintain payroll records and employee compensation data in payroll systems.
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations, social security, and labor laws related to payroll.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, social insurance reports, and statutory declarations on time.
  • Work closely with finance teams for payroll audits and compliance reviews.
  • Stay updated on employment tax laws, labor regulations, and fintech payroll best practices.
  • Conduct monthly payroll reconciliations between HR, Finance, and accounting records.
  • Generate detailed payroll reports, variance analysis, and cost breakdowns for management.
  • Monitor payroll discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent errors.
  • Work with finance teams to optimize payroll accounting and forecasting.
  • Ensure accurate calculations of overtime, commissions, bonuses, and performance incentives.
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure the automated and secure distribution of payslips to employees each month through integrated payroll systems.
  • Act as the main point of contact for payroll-related questions, disputes, and issue resolution.
  • Educate employees on salary structures, deductions, and benefits through clear communication.
  • Provide guidance to HR and finance teams on payroll best practices and compliance updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll processing, tax compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Experience in fintech, banking, or multi-country payroll operations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, tax regulations, and payroll reporting.
  • Ability to handle high-volume payroll processing with strict deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel, Power BI, Google Sheets for HR analytics.
  • Experience in integrating and implementing payroll systems within HR platforms.
