Job Description

Position Title: Payroll Specialist

Industry: Human Resources Services

Location: Maadi, Cairo

Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team at Premier Services and Recruitment, a subsidiary of Premier Group.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly, salaried, and contract employees in accordance with company policies and payroll schedules.
  • Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and benefits enrollments.
  • Calculate wages, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor standards.
  • Prepare and submit payroll taxes, filings, and reports (e.g., quarterly and annual filings such as W-2s).
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
  • Respond to employee payroll-related questions and provide clear explanations regarding pay, deductions, and taxes.
  • Coordinate with the client to ensure accurate employee data and proper accounting of payroll expenses.
  • Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.
  • Monitor and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.

-Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Good command of English (written and spoken).
  • Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and good knowledge of payroll software or willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with labor laws and company policies.
  • Good communication skills for resolving payroll-related inquiries.

  • Experience: 1-2 years in payroll or a similar accounting/finance role.
