Position Title: Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team at Premier Services and Recruitment, a subsidiary of Premier Group.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Process payroll accurately and on time for hourly, salaried, and contract employees in accordance with company policies and payroll schedules.
- Collect, review, and verify employee timekeeping data, including hours worked, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, and benefits enrollments.
- Calculate wages, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, garnishments, and other payroll adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor standards.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes, filings, and reports (e.g., quarterly and annual filings such as W-2s).
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions and provide clear explanations regarding pay, deductions, and taxes.
- Coordinate with the client to ensure accurate employee data and proper accounting of payroll expenses.
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.
- Monitor and improve payroll processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay current on changes in payroll regulations, tax laws, and best practices.
-Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and good knowledge of payroll software or willingness to learn.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with labor laws and company policies.
- Good communication skills for resolving payroll-related inquiries.
