Job Summary:
The Payroll Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee salaries, allowances, deductions, and benefits. The role ensures compliance with company policies, labor laws, tax regulations, and internal controls while supporting process improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing.
- Review and validate payroll data including attendance, overtime, leaves, deductions, loans, and allowances.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Handle payroll for permanent, temporary, and project-based employees.
- Review and approve payroll inputs and reports before final submission.
- Ensure accuracy of employee records, contracts, and compensation details.
- Ensure payroll is compliant with labor laws, social insurance regulations, and tax requirements.
- Supervise, train, and support payroll team members to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in payroll operations, with at least 1 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, social insurance, and taxation.
- Experience in large-scale organizations or multi-site operations preferred.
- Proficiency in HRIS / payroll software (SAP, Oracle, HITS, Odoo, or similar).
