A well-established
international school in Kuwait is seeking a
qualified and experienced Physics and Chemistry Teacher to join its secondary school team from
August 2026.
This position is ideal for a science educator with strong subject knowledge and experience delivering the
American curriculum, who is confident teaching both
Physics and Chemistry at middle and high school level.
The Role
The Successful Candidate Will
- Teach Physics and Chemistry across middle and high school (typically Grades 612)
- Deliver lessons aligned with American curriculum standards
- Plan engaging, inquiry-based lessons that promote scientific thinking and practical skills
- Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations where applicable
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress effectively
- Maintain a safe, organised, and engaging laboratory environment
- Contribute to curriculum development and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Participate in extracurricular activities and wider school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
Applicants Should
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (BEd, PGCE, US teaching licence, or equivalent)
- Hold a degree aligned with Physics, Chemistry, or a closely related science discipline
- Have experience teaching Physics and Chemistry within an American curriculum framework
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and hands-on laboratory experience
- Be adaptable, professional, and committed to continuous professional development
- International or bilingual school experience is advantageous but not essential
