Job Summary
The Pipe Fitter is responsible for installation, fabrication, and maintenance of
chilled water and fire fighting piping systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The role requires hands-on experience in MEP projects and knowledge of piping layouts and fittings.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assemble chilled water and fire fighting pipelines (MS, GI, HDPE, etc.).
- Read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, and layouts.
- Perform cutting, threading, grooving, and fitting of pipes and fittings.
- Install valves, pumps, hangers, supports, and related components.
- Align piping systems and ensure proper slope and flow direction.
- Conduct pressure testing, flushing, and leak testing of pipelines.
- Coordinate with welders, technicians, and supervisors during installation.
- Follow safety procedures and site work instructions.
Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Pipe Fitting trade.
Experience
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience as Pipe Fitter.
- Experience in chilled water (HVAC) and fire fighting systems is mandatory.
- Experience in commercial, residential, or industrial projects preferred.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of piping materials, fittings, and installation methods.
- Ability to read drawings and execute work independently.
- Good understanding of fire fighting systems (sprinkler, hydrant, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of tools and equipment used in pipe fitting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
