Piping Engineer Desalination Plants (Technical Advisory Role)
Our client is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to provide technical advisory support for large-scale desalination projects exceeding 300 MLD/MGD capacity. This position is focused on design review and technical oversight within the engineering office and does not involve site-based construction activities.
This is a 12-month contract position with housing provided on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate piping designs, layouts, material specifications, and associated engineering deliverables.
- Liaise with EPC contractors, vendors, and manufacturers to ensure adherence to project requirements and technical standards.
- Conduct detailed assessments of hydraulic design, pipe routing, stress analysis, and system interfaces.
- Provide technical guidance to optimize plant reliability, maintainability, and overall design efficiency.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design alignment with project objectives, quality requirements, and international codes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven background in piping design for water treatment or desalination facilities of 300+ MLD/MGD scale.
- Comprehensive knowledge of ASME, API, and other relevant piping codes and standards.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills within a multi-stakeholder engineering environment.
