Description of Scope of Work
- 15 years experience, including 5 years experience on similar Projects with Middle East project experience.
- This role requires a strong understanding of scheduling principles, critical path method (CPM) techniques, and project management software. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and updating project schedules, monitoring progress, and identifying potential delays to ensure projects stay on track.
List of Deliverables and Deployment Schedule (Bill of Services)
- ensuring all Schedule Management, Reporting, and Project Documentation Maintenance activities are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
- monitoring the performance of projects and conducting health checks based on cost and time.
- Preparing of pre-construction and construction phase Master and Detailed Construction Schedules.
- Participation in contract administration and schedule control activities.
- Preparation and support for the development of CPM schedules for construction contract packages
- Monitor and report the actual progress of the work versus the planned work.
- develop design procurement and construction master program.
- obtain the approval of the First Party to, and monitor all activities against a project master programme identifying all parts of the project, detailing key design and construction milestones and summarizing all activities (including without limitation the activities of the First Party, consultants, quantity surveyor, contractors, suppliers, utility providers and statutory authorities) to assist in the effective management of the project by the consultants.
- update the project master programme at regular intervals and as necessary (but at least once every month) to reflect the current project status. The Second Party shall distribute copies of the approved project master program and updates thereof to all relevant parties.
- prepare and monitor all relevant activities against separate design, procurement, approvals, tendering, awards and construction programmes which are compatible with the approved project master programme.
- update such programmes at regular intervals and as necessary to reflect the current status of the relevant activities and to be compatible with the current update of the approved project master programme
- distribute copies of the approved programmes and updates thereof to all relevant parties.
- identify any potential or actual delays to the approved project master Programme or other programmes and take the necessary action, subject to the approval of the First Party, to facilitate the achievement of key milestone dates in particular sectional and overall completion dates.
- ensure that the consultants perform all project control services as defined in the contracts, including but not limited to submission of plans, procedures, schedules, analysis and reports. review and issue comments on contractor's submissions.
- review and monitor consultants and contractors performance against its schedule, program, deliverables and milestones, by examination and analysis of its progress documents against progress reporting system set out in the contract and take corrective actions, as required.
- verify and endorse for the First Party's approval contractors invoices, including the supporting physical progress and milestone certificates in order to enable the First Party to process the payments within the time period stipulated in the contract.
- prepare and submit weekly & monthly executive summary reports for the First Party.

- evaluation extension of time claims and make appropriate recommendations in conjunction with planners.

Responsibilities:
- Project Scheduling and Planning:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, including master schedules and detailed construction schedules, using project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Prepare pre-construction and construction phase schedules, incorporating all project activities and milestones.
- Develop design, procurement, and construction master programs, ensuring alignment with the overall project master schedule.
- Obtain First Party approval for project schedules and distribute copies to all relevant stakeholders.
- Schedule Monitoring and Control:
- Monitor and report on the actual progress of work against the planned schedule, identifying any potential or actual delays.
- Analyze schedule performance and conduct schedule health checks based on cost and time metrics.
- Take necessary actions, with First Party approval, to mitigate delays and ensure adherence to key milestones and completion dates.
- Progress Reporting and Documentation:
- Update project schedules regularly (at least monthly) to reflect the current project status and distribute updated schedules to relevant parties.
- Prepare and maintain separate design, procurement, approvals, tendering, awards, and construction schedules, ensuring compatibility with the approved project master program.
- Ensure that consultants and contractors submit required progress reports and documentation.
- Review and analyze progress reports, identifying any deviations from the schedule and recommending corrective actions.
- Contract Administration:
- Participate in contract administration activities, ensuring that schedule-related contractual obligations are met.
- Review and comment on contractors schedule submissions, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Verify and endorse contractors invoices, including supporting progress and milestone certificates, for First Party approval and payment processing.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly executive summary reports to the First Party, highlighting schedule performance, potential delays, and mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and distribute regular schedule updates (monthly, bi-weekly, weekly) as required.
- Communicate effectively with project stakeholders regarding schedule updates, potential delays, and corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project planning and scheduling for construction projects.
- Strong understanding of scheduling principles, CPM techniques, and project management software (e.g., Primavera P6).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with different types of construction projects and contract types.
- Familiarity with schedule risk analysis techniques and tools.
- Evaluation of contractors resources deployment against schedule requirements.
- Assist the First Party to analyze and track the variation/claims approval process in co-ordination with the First Party.
