Position Summary:
We are seeking a Planning & Cost Control Engineer with solid experience in large-scale construction and landscaping projects to join our dynamic team at the prestigious Qiddiya development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the project planning, schedule, budget, and cost analysis across infrastructure, hardscape/softscape, and landscape design components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent project planning tools.
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates, budget forecasts, and cash flow projections for all project phases.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with planning and cost targets.
- Track project progress against the baseline schedule, identify delays, and propose corrective actions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of project expenditures and variances; provide regular cost and productivity reports.
- Evaluate change orders, variations, and claims with supporting impact analysis on time and cost.
- Provide earned value analysis (EVA) and support project risk and opportunity assessments.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and financial reporting requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports for internal and external stakeholders (client, consultants, etc.).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 812 years of proven experience in planning and cost control for large-scale projects, preferably including resorts, golf courses, public parks, or urban infrastructure.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and advanced Excel for planning and cost analysis.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, BOQs, cost management systems, and contract administration.
- Familiarity with landscape architecture, infrastructure development, and large-scale construction execution.
- Analytical thinking with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate across departments and with clients/consultants.
Preferred Candidate:
- Prior experience with mega-projects or large scale Project Planning & Cost control.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
- Must have a Transferable Iqama and be available for immediate or short-notice joining.
- English proficiency is required; Arabic is a plus.
