Role Description The Planning Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project plans and schedules for engineering and construction projects. The role involves preparing detailed work breakdown structures, timelines, and resource allocations, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives. The Planning Engineer will track project progress, analyze deviations, and prepare regular reports on schedule performance, productivity, and risks, recommending corrective actions when needed. Daily tasks include supporting project control activities, maintaining planning and scheduling software data, and contributing to tender and proposal schedules as required. The role also requires effective communication with internal teams and clients to ensure transparency on project status and deliverables.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong planning and production planning skills for engineering and construction projects.
• Candidates should possess analytical skills and project control capabilities to monitor performance, identify variances, and propose corrective measures.
• Candidates should possess effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline) or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
• Experience in the GCC construction or engineering consulting sector, especially in Abu Dhabi or the UAE, is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment are desirable.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, best practices, and contractual scheduling requirements is beneficial.
