Responsibly
- Planning engineer develops the most suitable and economically viable construction and engineering methods for projects.
- He is involved throughout the development stages, and is present on site during the build to oversee procedures.
- It is the responsibility of the planning engineer to estimate a timescale for a project in coordination with the project management and site team, and to ensure that the outlined deadlines are met.
- He works closely with site managers and other engineers to ensure a project runs on schedule and that material supplies are sufficient.
- Have a better understanding of the scope and sequencing of the work in timely manner.
- Ensuring plans meet the client's specifications.
- Maintaining and updating the construction schedules and plans.
- Participating in creating schedule baseline with senior planning engineer.
- Participating in creating the recovery plan with Senior planning engineer.
- Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.
- Monitoring work progress.
- Preparing daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Preparing status report with Senior planning engineer.
- Preparing two weeks lookahead plan for site team.
- Attending weekly meetings and working on maintaining the agreed dates.
- Liaising with site managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise after coordinating with Senior planning engineer.
- Participating in preparing the internal and external presentations with Senior planning engineer.
- Preparing the progress sheet for the invoices with the site manager and Senior planning engineer
Qualifications and Experience
- BSc in any engineering.
- PMP is preferred
- 6 to 8 years experiences, minimum 3-4 years experience as a site planning engineer
- Experience with Electrical Substations and Civil construction is added advantage.
Language, Skills and Competencies
- Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
- Knowledge of current industry and technical developments.
- P6 is Must.
- Excel is Must.
- Power BI is preferable.
