Job Summary
The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for multi-discipline construction projects, particularly in Oil & Gas environments. The role involves detailed planning, progress tracking, coordination with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely project execution in line with project milestones, cost, and quality objectives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using Primavera/MS Project.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), resource plans, and baseline schedules.
- Monitor project progress and update weekly/monthly planning reports.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for schedule alignment.
- Conduct delay analysis and prepare mitigation and recovery plans.
- Track civil construction activities including structural, foundation, and infrastructure works.
- Review project drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for planning inputs.
- Generate MIS reports, dashboards, and progress curves.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, contractual milestones, and client requirements.
- Support project control, risk assessment, and forecasting activities.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related engineering field.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar planning role in multi-discipline projects.
- Total 810 years of overall experience.
- GCC experience in Oil & Gas industry preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project planning tools (Primavera P6/MS Project).
- Experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, or large infrastructure projects.
- Less than 40 years (as per project requirement).
