With a diverse portfolio and a rapidly expanding project pipeline, Gulf Hills Contracting LLC is strengthening its Project Controls and Planning Division. In line with this growth, we are seeking a highly capable and experienced Planning Engineer to support the delivery of our ongoing and upcoming projects across the UAE.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in developing, monitoring, analyzing, and reporting project schedules and production performance. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, site teams, engineers, procurement, and senior management to ensure accurate planning, systematic reporting, and effective control of project timelines.

Key responsibilities include the preparation and updating of baseline programmes, weekly and monthly progress schedules, dashboards, delay analyses, and detailed project reporting. The role requires strong technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, consistent follow-up, and the ability to work under demanding project conditions.

The selected candidate must also demonstrate readiness to travel to other Emirates or relocate as required by project operations.

QUALIFICATION

Academic Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Civil or MEP only.
• Applications from candidates with any other specialization will not be accepted.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in the UAE, specifically with reputable main contracting companies.
• Proven experience in construction planning, production planning, and progress monitoring.

Technical Competencies

Expert proficiency in Primavera P6, with the ability to:

• Develop complete baseline programmes
• Prepare weekly and monthly programme updates
• Perform scenario simulations and what-if analysis

Strong command of Microsoft Excel and MS Word, including:

• Advanced data analysis and formulas
• Dashboard creation
• KPI and progress reporting

Reporting & Analytical Skills

Strong experience in preparing:

• Project dashboards, S-curves, histograms, production charts, and monthly management reports
• Comprehensive weekly and monthly schedules aligned with project realities

Expertise in delay and forensic analysis:

• Window Analysis
• Time Impact Analysis (TIA)

Other Requirements

• Fluent in English both written and spoken.
• Ability and willingness to travel to other Emirates or relocate when required.
• Must be available to join within a maximum of one month.
