Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with proven experience in high-rise residential building projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgets. Strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using industry-standard planning tools.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, providing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence.
- Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Conduct critical path analysis and resource planning.
- Analyze project risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Support tendering processes by preparing preliminary schedules and resource plans.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and project milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry.
- Proven experience in high-rise residential building projects is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in planning and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Language Requirements
- Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- Arab National who can prepare the schedule in Arabic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Power BI for data visualization and reporting is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with project performance tracking and dashboard creation.
- Familiar with REGA/ Wafi.
