Job Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for construction projects.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project baselines, and construction execution schedules in line with contract requirements.
- Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify potential delays and critical activities.
- Perform Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis and recommend recovery plans to mitigate schedule slippages.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractors to ensure timely execution of project activities.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, and productivity reports.
- Track engineering, procurement, material delivery, and construction activities to ensure alignment with the project schedule.
- Analyze project performance using planned vs. actual progress and provide schedule forecasts to management.
- Review subcontractor schedules, monitor their progress, and ensure compliance with project milestones.
- Evaluate the time impact of variation orders, scope changes, and delays, and assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims.
- Monitor resource utilization, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to optimize project performance.
- Participate in progress review meetings with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders, presenting schedule updates and recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual milestones, project specifications, and company planning procedures.
- Maintain accurate planning documentation, including baseline revisions, progress records, delay logs, and schedule updates.
- Support project closeout by preparing final planning reports, documenting schedule performance, and capturing lessons learned.
Key Skills
- 4 years of experience in construction planning and project scheduling.
- Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and project reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, CPM scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring.
- Familiarity with construction contracts, EOT claims, and project controls.
- Excellent analytical, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
