Role Overview

Latinum HR is hiring for a reputable client seeking a highly skilled Planning & Scheduling Engineer with extensive experience in high-rise tower projects and master scheduling. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical abilities, expert knowledge of Primavera P6, and the capability to manage complex project timelines, resolve scheduling challenges, and support timely project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review subcontractor programs, supplier schedules, procurement timelines for long-lead items, and provide recommendations for incorporation into the contractor's baseline program/tender package.
  • Review and communicate Engineer's consent to contractors baseline schedules in accordance with contract conditions and recommended practices.
  • Validate resource compatibility to ensure timely completion of all project stages.
  • Develop and manage master schedules integrating multiple project packages and interdependencies.
  • Evaluate updated progress schedules, identify delays or slippages, highlight critical activities, and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Conduct What-if analysis to assess time impacts of changes, variations, and potential events, offering alternative solutions before contractor instructions are issued.
  • Review periodic progress and monthly reports, analyze programs, and prepare presentations highlighting milestone achievements and challenges.
  • Perform detailed assessment of claims, including Extension of Time (EoT) and Disruption claims, using methodologies such as Time Impact Analysis and Window Analysis.
  • Engage with contractors and employers to resolve planning and scheduling concerns.
  • Coordinate with clients to finalize contractor programs, reports, and claim submissions.
  • Attend and participate in key meetingskick-off, technical, coordination, and progress reviewproviding expert input and preparing concise minutes of meetings.
  • Prepare and manage trackers/logs for monitoring critical issues during design and construction stages.
  • Establish and agree on Progress Measurement Systems (PMS) and KPIs with consultants/contractors.
  • Present scheduling insights to management and respond to contractor notices using strong analytical and technical reasoning.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping of contemporary project documents.
  • Issue delay notices and slow performance letters to contractors when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 8+ years of planning and scheduling experience on high-rise tower projects, with at least 5 years in Dubai with developers.
  • Strong understanding of high-rise construction, coordination requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction industry best practices and regulations.
