Planning Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful execution of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring, with hands-on experience in large-scale industrial projects.

Your Role

As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and controlling project schedules in compliance with Saudi Aramco standards. The role ensures effective planning, progress monitoring, reporting, forecasting, and coordination with project stakeholders to achieve timely and cost-effective project execution.

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed Level 3 / Level 4 project schedules using Primavera P6
• Prepare integrated EPC schedules (Engineering, Procurement & Construction)
• Create resourceloaded schedules and manpower histograms
• Produce 2week, 4week, and 90day lookahead schedules
• Identify critical paths and key schedule risks

Progress Monitoring & Control

• Collect daily, weekly, and monthly progress data
• Update schedules and analyze delays and variances
• Develop recovery and mitigation plans
• Track productivity against planned benchmarks

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports
• Generate schedule narratives, Scurves, histograms, and dashboards
• Support client meetings and presentations with relevant schedule outputs

Coordination & Interface

• Collaborate with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams
• Review and integrate subcontractor schedules
• Support Extension of Time (EOT) analysis

Commercial & Close-Out Support

• Assist in preparing interim payment certificates and invoicing
• Support project close-out activities and final handover schedules

What We're Looking For

Experience

Minimum 710 years of planning experience with 3-5 years experience in Saudi Aramco projects.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical)

Skills and Competencies

Advanced Primavera P6 (mandatory)

MS Project (preferred)

MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools

Strong knowledge of EPC project lifecycle
