About The Job

Role Description:

Leads the planning, scheduling, and project control functions for EPC projects, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction teams. Oversees the development, integration, and monitoring of project schedules, progress measurement systems, and performance KPIs. Coordinates closely with Contract Administration, Cost Control, and key stakeholders to support timely decision-making, claims preparation, and project performance reporting. Facilitates progress reviews, stakeholder meetings, and management presentations to maintain clear visibility of project status, critical paths, and mitigation plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and monitor team to prepare EPC schedules and compliance with comments till approval.
  • Lead and monitor team to prepare execution schedules for following-up purposes.
  • Coordinate and integrate with Procurement, Engineering and Construction departments for the consistency of EPC schedule.
  • Lead and monitor team toupdate, Monitor & Control project as per project schedules.
  • Lead and monitor team to prepare progress shortfall reports.
  • Lead and monitor team to prepare weekly and monthly Progress reports.
  • Coordinate with contract administration team for related correspondence and provide needed input.
  • Prepare and/or review time and cost claims applying different methodologies/techniques based on AACE and SCL protocols.
  • Lead and monitor team to analyze and verify critical paths and interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Analyze critical path delays and prepare cause and effect matrix.
  • Attend meetings with project team to ensure the full understanding of all teams for the periodic target and the way of achieving it.
  • Attend meetings with Project stakeholders to ensure the full understanding of all parties of the project status.
  • Prepare Management presentations.
  • Attend claims technical meetings and coordinate with contract administration team for claims purposes.
  • Coordinate with cost control team based on the project schedule.
  • Build and apply Progress Measurement Systems (PMS).
  • Build Project dashboard in line with PMS and project requirements.
  • Lead and monitor team to prepare progress KPIs for major commodities and PMS.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • At least 12 years experience as a Planning Engineer
  • Previous GCC experience is preferred
  • Available for immediate joining
  • Preference given to candidates residing in KSA
  • Open to candidates of any nationality

Work Environment

  • The position is primarily based at the head office, with periodic site visits as necessary to support contractors during project execution and to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Occasional travel to construction sites may be required, depending on project demands and timelines.
