About the role:

Euro Mechanical is looking for a Planning & Project Controls Manager.

The Planning & Project Controls Manager is responsible for establishing, leading, and maintaining robust planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress measurement systems for projects in the EPC Business Unit.

The role ensures effective project controls governance, accurate forecasting, and timely reporting to support informed decision-making, drive schedule and cost performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and client requirements. It also supports effective progress measurement, earned value management, claims, and change management across the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage integrated project control systems (planning, scheduling, cost control, forecasting).
  • Develop and maintain project baselines (schedule, cost, resources) aligned with contracts, PMO, and QMS/ISO standards.
  • Prepare and manage master and detailed EPC schedules covering engineering to handover.
  • Conduct critical path analysis, recovery planning, and look-ahead scheduling.
  • Monitor project performance and analyze schedule/cost variances.
  • Implement and manage Earned Value Management (EVM) and performance reporting.
  • Ensure accurate progress measurement, cash flow forecasting, and productivity analysis.
  • Prepare internal and client project control reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Identify schedule and cost risks/opportunities and support mitigation plans.
  • Support change management, claims, variations, and EOT assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with company, client, and contractual reporting standards.
  • Lead and develop project controls teams.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, and stakeholders for integrated execution.
  • Support bids and proposals with schedules, estimates, and control strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project control systems and tools.
  • Ensure proper asset management, including prudent acquisition, use, care, and disposal.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10+ years experience in planning, scheduling, and project controls within Oil & Gas EPC in UAE/GCC.
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or equivalent.
  • PMP certification is an advantage.
  • Proven track record on Brownfield EPC projects (onshore/offshore).
  • Strong experience in integrated project control systems (schedule, cost, progress, forecasting).
  • ADNOC project experience and familiarity with ADNOC reporting standards preferred.
