Plant & Machinery Coordinator
A Plant & Machinery Coordinator manages the daily allocation, maintenance, mobilization, and tracking of construction equipment and vehicles across various project sites. Key responsibilities include optimizing machinery usage, ensuring safety compliance, managing operator assignments, and maintaining meticulous.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics & Allocation: Coordinate the mobilization and demobilization of machinery, including cranes, earthmovers, and vehicles, to project sites using logistics support (low-bed trailers).
- Maintenance & Servicing: Oversee repairs, maintenance schedules, servicing, and inspections of machinery, ensuring maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Resource Management: Assign operators, drivers, and heavy equipment to projects based on daily requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed logbooks, prepare daily/monthly summaries of fuel efficiency, utilization rates, and standby, using MS Excel or company software.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all machinery complies with safety regulations and inspections.
- Procurement Support: Liaise with vendors for spare parts procurement and equipment rental.
- Experience: 8-12 years of hands-on experience in construction plant and machinery management, ideally in the UAE.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing construction machinery (tower cranes, telehandlers, excavators).
