Job Description

Job Purpose

The OpenShift & Container Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting the container platform infrastructure powering GO Money digital financial services. The role ensures the stability, security, and high availability of the Red Hat OpenShift environment, including cluster lifecycle management, storage, networking, disaster recovery, and platform performance.

This position is critical to maintain the availability, resilience, and operational continuity of GO Money platforms.

Key Responsibilities

OpenShift Platform Administration

Install, configure, and manage Red Hat OpenShift clustersin production environments.

Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.

Monitor cluster health, availability, and performance and troubleshoot platform-related issues.

Manage OpenShift Operators and Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM).

Infrastructure & Platform Operations

Manage container platform networking, storage, security policies, and access controls.

Troubleshoot issues related to pods, nodes, networking, ingress, operators, and storage.

Support and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL / CentOS) used by OpenShift nodes and supporting infrastructure.

Storage & Disaster Recovery

Implement and manage Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Portworx replication.

Configure and manage persistent storage, including PVs, PVCs, and storage classes.

Perform cluster backup, restore, and recovery procedures.

DevOps & Platform Integration

Support CI/CD pipeline integrations with OpenShift platforms.

Work closely with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure smooth platform operations.

Documentation & Governance

Develop and maintain platform documentation, operational procedures, and DR runbooks.

Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational standards required for financial platforms.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Provenyears of experience in Linux system administration and container platforms.

Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes administration in production environments.

Required Technical Skills

Red Hat OpenShift cluster administration

Kubernetes architecture and troubleshooting

Linux administration (RHEL / CentOS)

Container networking and security

Persistent storage and storage classes

Portworx storage and DR replication

CI/CD integration with container platforms

Monitoring and troubleshooting distributed systems
