Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Supervisor (AA/PI) for our client ADNOC onshore in Abu Dhabi as part of our Construction Engineering team within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be based at onshore site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Role
To supervise and oversee all Assurance Activities (AA) and Pre-Inspection (PI) functions on-site, ensuring that construction, installation, and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise contractor activities related to AA/PI scope.
- Ensure work execution aligns with approved drawings, procedures, and specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, and construction teams for inspection readiness.
- Review and verify Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure all pre-inspection requirements are completed prior to formal inspections.
- Witness inspections and ensure compliance with project quality standards.
- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain records of inspections, approvals, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Prepare daily/weekly progress and quality reports.
- Ensure all documentation is complete for handover dossiers.
- Enforce adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure safe execution of all site activities.
- Interface with client representatives, contractors, and third-party inspectors.
- Support project management team in resolving technical and quality issues.
- Attend coordination and progress meetings.

Expected
- Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or relevant discipline).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil & gas or infrastructure projects.
- At least 5 years in a supervisory role within PMC or similar environment.
- Strong experience in QA/QC, inspections, and construction supervision.
- Familiarity with client standards (e.g., ADNOC or similar operators).
- Relevant certifications in QA/QC or inspection.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in reporting and documentation.
