Job Summary
Establishing, managing, and overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects in accordance with organizational standards and client requirements. The role focuses on project governance, performance monitoring, resource coordination, and reporting across multiple projects, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with company and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring effective implementation of project management standards, methodologies, and governance processes.
- Oversee the planning, monitoring, and control of multiple projects to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain PMO frameworks, procedures, templates, and reporting systems across projects.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs, dashboards, and progress reports and provide insights to senior management and clients.
- Review and validate project schedules, cost plans, and resource allocations to ensure realistic planning and effective project execution.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change management processes across the project portfolio.
- Coordinate with project managers, project directors, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
- Prepare and present executive reports, performance summaries, and portfolio analysis to senior management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project governance requirements, and PMO standards.
- Support senior leadership in strategic planning, project prioritization, and portfolio management.
- Manage and mentor PMO staff and project controls teams, supporting capability development and performance management.
- Facilitate project review meetings, steering committee meetings, and client progress meetings.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting accuracy, and knowledge management within the PMO.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1218 years of experience in project management, project controls, or PMO roles within engineering consulting or project management firms.
- Strong experience in managing large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, planning, scheduling, cost control, and risk management.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and project reporting systems.
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary project teams and PMO staff.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
