Job Description

Overview:

The PMO & VRO Analyst plays a key role in ensuring project governance, standardization, and value realization across Digital and business projects. The analyst will support project planning, tracking, and reporting while ensuring alignment with PMO standards and best practices. Additionally, they will assist in identifying, measuring, and reporting value realization from projects and operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management Office (PMO) Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and frameworks in all projects.
  • Support project managers in initiating, planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting using standardized templates and tools.
  • Track and monitor project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Maintain project documentation, dashboards, and reports, providing visibility on project health and status.
  • Support governance meetings, including steering committees and project review boards, by preparing reports and capturing key decisions.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of project management policies, processes, and tools.
  • Ensure project compliance with financial, resource, and timeline constraints while maintaining quality standards.
  • Coaching and mentoring project managers.
  • Ensure that projects have tangible success criteria in place prior to go-live
  • Ensure projects follow change management standards In case of project changes.
  • Quality Assure existing projects to ensure that they meet the standards regarding success criteria, outcomes, and benefits
  • Measuring and monitoring performance via KPIs and track value realization through data and analytics
  • Analyzing performance data to identify trends and support action plans for off-track performance indicators

Value Realization Office (VRO) Responsibilities:

  • Support the identification, tracking, and reporting of benefits realization for Digital and business projects.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to measure and validate efficiency gains, cost savings, and other realized benefits.
  • Ensure alignment of value realization metrics with financial records and corporate strategy.
  • Provide insights through value tracking dashboards and reports to help stakeholders make data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in developing models for calculating savings (e.g., FTE savings, revenue growth, cost avoidance) and integrating them into project evaluations.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to ensure realized benefits are reflected in financial statements where applicable.
  • Support change management efforts to drive adoption and maximize value from implemented solutions.

Development of the analysis on the Return on the Investment in the new Digital solution

  • Work with project teams/Product Owners to articulate the product value in accordance
  • Provide input to the overall recalculation of value and ensure continuous updates to the related tracking mechanisms
  • Capability of articulating business process and developing all the templates required to conduct the value realization exercise
  • Develop all VRO reports and dashboards required for better feasibility and analysis
  • Linking operational and business performance metrics to productivity and financial outcomes.
  • Support data-driven analysis and insights to help support business strategies by evaluating ongoing analytical needs

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications (Mandatory): PMP.
  • Certifications (Preferred): PgMP, ITIL.
  • Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, PMO operations, or value realization analysis.
  • Strong experience in implementing and governing projects within PMO standards.
  • Hands-on experience with benefits realization frameworks and financial impact analysis.
  • Experience working with Digital projects, process improvement, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Tools & Technologies:
  • Proficiency in project management tools like MS Project.
  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, financial tracking tools, and reporting platforms.

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of PMO governance, methodologies (Waterfall, Agile), and industry best practices.
  • Solid understanding of value realization principles, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI calculation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, ensuring alignment between business and IT objectives.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business impact.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Experience should be a combination of strategy and operational or implementation focused
  • Experience in building business cases, but more importantly bringing the business cases to life and realize the assumed benefits
  • Experience in developing cost and benefit analysis.
  • Ability to interpret large amount of data and make business recommendations
  • Business / Financial modelling, financial background
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good planning and execution skills, ensuring effective and timely delivery
  • Ability to multi-task and operate independently
  • Ability to interact with and influence all levels of organization
  • Proactive and capable of working in a result-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of reporting and analytics processes and tools
