We are looking for an IT Portfolio Analyst (ServiceNow SPM) to support IT portfolio governance and lifecycle monitoring for our client in Dubai. This role requires experience in portfolio governance, project lifecycle tracking, ServiceNow SPM data management, and portfolio-level financial oversight.
This role starts as a 6-month contract initially and is renewable.
It reports to the Senior Manager Portfolio & Governance in the IT PMO Portfolio & Governance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project submissions across governance stages and ensure required documentation is complete (business case, financial estimates, risk registers, architecture inputs).
- Track governance approvals across architecture, strategic fit, finance, and delivery checkpoints.
- Maintain accurate portfolio records within ServiceNow Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) and monitor demand-to-project lifecycle progression.
- Ensure correct project classifications and alignment with governance standards.
- Track initiative-level budget utilization against approved funding and monitor CapEx vs Opex categorization.
- Validate project cost inputs including approved, committed, actual, and forecasted spend.
- Support IT Finance with portfolio-level financial views and consumption tracking.
- Prepare portfolio dashboards and reporting for executive reviews, investment forums, and governance meetings.
- Monitor portfolio KPIs such as governance compliance, budget utilization, delivery health, and risk exposure.
- Follow up with project managers on missing data or governance artefacts and escalate issues where required.
- Maintain documentation repositories and support audit and compliance reviews related to IT investments.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- 35 years of experience in PMO, project governance, or portfolio coordination.
- Experience working with ServiceNow SPM or similar portfolio management tools.
- Good understanding of project lifecycle governance and portfolio management frameworks.
- Strong financial awareness including CapEx and OpEx tracking.
- Experience supporting portfolio reporting, dashboards, and governance reviews.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across IT, finance, and project teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Finance, or a related field.
