Role purpose

The Portfolio Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of all banking programs and workstreams within CoorB's agreed scope for an assigned client. The role ensures that the portfolio delivers its business, financial, quality, and contractual commitments while maintaining one consolidated view of priorities, risks, dependencies, resources, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the portfolio roadmap, priorities, delivery plan, budget, resource plan, and governance calendar.

• Align programs and projects with client objectives, contractual commitments, and CoorB's business targets.

• Provide clear executive reporting on scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, risks, dependencies, and decisions.

• Lead portfolio governance, steering meetings, change control, and escalation management.

• Hold Program and Project Managers accountable for delivery, quality, financial performance, and timely escalation.

• Manage cross-program dependencies, capacity constraints, vendors, and delivery risks through closure.

• Oversee release readiness, testing progress, defect trends, operational readiness, and production stability.

• Own portfolio forecasting, invoicing readiness, utilization, revenue visibility, margin performance, and commercial risks.

• Serve as CoorB's senior delivery focal point for the client and maintain alignment with business and technology stakeholders.

• Lead and coach the portfolio management team and promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Decision authority

The Portfolio Manager owns day-to-day portfolio prioritization, governance, reporting, resource balancing, and recovery actions within approved scope and authority. Material contractual, budget, strategic, regulatory, or cross-account matters are escalated to the Head of PMO and relevant executives.

Key performance measures

On-time delivery and business outcomes; effective prioritization of the portfolio backlog with the business, ensuring commitments remain achievable within available capacity and delivery constraints; budget, revenue, margin, and forecast accuracy; quality and production stability; risk and dependency closure; resource utilization; governance effectiveness; and client stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• At least 10 years of project and program delivery experience, including 3 or more years managing a complex portfolio or multiple concurrent programs.

• Banking or financial-services delivery experience is required, preferably in digital banking or large-scale technology transformation.

• Proven experience managing senior client stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams, vendors, budgets, commercial commitments, and delivery recovery.

• Strong knowledge of portfolio governance, software delivery lifecycles, Agile and hybrid delivery, testing, release management, risk, and financial management.

• Professional certification is preferred: PfMP or PgMP is most relevant to the role; PMP is highly valued; PMI-ACP, SAFe, PRINCE2, or equivalent Agile credentials are advantageous.

• Professional fluency in English is required; Arabic is advantageous.
