Portfolio Manager, Family Office

Key Responsibilities

Investment & Portfolio Management

• Develop and implement investment strategies across public and private markets.
• Manage discretionary portfolios with full responsibility for asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, and investment performance.
• Generate investment ideas through fundamental research, manager selection, and direct investment opportunities.
• Monitor portfolio risk, liquidity, and performance, providing regular investment recommendations to the Principal.
• Lead due diligence on fund investments, co-investments, and direct transactions.

Capital Raising & Investor Relations

• Support the Family Office's capital raising initiatives by developing relationships with external investors, strategic partners, and institutional allocators.
• Assist in fundraising presentations, investment materials, and investor communications.
• Maintain relationships with private banks, family offices, fund managers, and institutional investors.

Investment Platform Development

• Establish and enhance investment processes, portfolio reporting, and governance frameworks.
• Build relationships with external fund managers, investment banks, private equity and venture capital firms.
• Support the Principal on strategic initiatives, market research, and investment committee materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines; CFA, CAIA or MBA is preferred.
• 8+ years of investment experience in Family Offices, Hedge Funds, Asset Management, Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Institutional Investment platforms.
• Demonstrated track record of managing institutional or proprietary capital (real money investment experience).
• Strong portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment research capabilities across public and/or private markets.
• Experience conducting investment due diligence and evaluating external fund managers or direct investment opportunities.
• Prior fundraising, LP relationship management, or investor relations experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent financial analysis, communication, and presentation skills.
