About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer for a 6-month contract (with high extension potential) with a prestigious Government Entity in the Logistics and Supply Chain sector. You will be instrumental in building, maintaining, and optimizing their business intelligence and data visualization capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working with enterprise-scale data within well-established organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive, high-performance Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop robust data models by connecting to various data sources, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Write complex DAX expressions and queries for calculated columns, measures, and KPIs.
- Manage and administer Power BI Service workspaces, including gateways, dataflows, and security (RLS).
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric components (as applicable) for advanced analytics and data integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements from the logistics/supply chain domain into technical specifications.
- Ensure data integrity, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
- Provide documentation and support for developed solutions.
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- Technical Expertise:
- Power BI: Advanced proficiency in Report & Dashboard Development.
- Data Modeling: Strong skills in building star/snowflake schemas, managing relationships, and optimizing for performance.
- Power BI DAX: Expert-level ability to create complex calculations and business logic.
- Power Platform: Hands-on experience with Power BI Service, Data Gateways (On-premises & Cloud).
- Microsoft Fabric: Practical experience with relevant components (e.g., OneLake, Data Factory, notebooks) is a significant advantage.
- Professional Background:
- Proven experience working as a Power BI Developer for large, well-established companies.
- Experience in the Logistics, Supply Chain, or a similar complex data domain is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with government or highly regulated project environments is a plus.
- Contract Specifics:
- Immediate availability or a notice period of 30 days or less.
- Must be available to work onsite in Dubai.
