Job Description

Position: Manager - Power Infrastructure

Location: Jeddah/Riyadh


Duration: June 2026 to March 2027


Role Overview:


We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Manager - Power Infrastructure to lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of all temporary and permanent power solutions across tournament venues and official sites.


This role will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted, safe, and compliant power supply for stadiums, training sites, fan zones, broadcast compounds, accreditation centers, and other tournament-related facilities. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, stakeholder coordination, and experience delivering complex infrastructure projects within major events or large-scale environments.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Planning & Delivery:
• Lead the development and execution of the tournament-wide Power Infrastructure Strategy.
• Plan and manage all power requirements for competition and non-competition venues.
• Oversee load assessments, redundancy planning, and contingency power solutions.
• Ensure integration of temporary and permanent power systems.


Operations & Venue Readiness:
• Coordinate venue-specific power planning, testing, commissioning, and operational readiness.
• Supervise installation of generators, UPS systems, transformers, and distribution networks.
• Ensure compliance with international event standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement power failure contingency and emergency response plans.


Stakeholder & Contractor Management:
• Manage relationships with utility providers, contractors, consultants, and government authorities.
• Coordinate closely with stadium authorities, broadcast teams, overlay, IT, security, and facilities departments.
• Monitor contractor performance, deliverables, and timelines.
• Support procurement processes related to power infrastructure services.


Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure adherence to Saudi electrical regulations and international best practices.
• Oversee health, safety, and risk mitigation strategies related to power operations.
• Conduct inspections and risk assessments across all venues.
• Maintain full documentation and reporting for audit and tournament governance purposes.


Budget & Reporting:
• Manage the Power Infrastructure budget, forecasting, and cost control.
• Provide regular progress reports to senior leadership.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies proactively.


Requirements:


• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in power infrastructure, utilities, or major event operations.
• Proven experience in large-scale event delivery, stadium operations, or mega infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of temporary power systems, generators, load calculations, and redundancy planning.
• Experience managing contractors and multi-stakeholder environments.
• Familiarity with international sporting event standards (FIFA, AFC, or similar) is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and crisis management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience in previous international sporting events.
• Knowledge of broadcast power requirements and critical systems infrastructure.
• Experience working with government entities in Saudi Arabia.
• Professional certifications in project management (PMP) or electrical safety standard
