Key Responsibilities:
- Participates in preparation and development of projects budget for direct and indirect costs, allowance for G&A, and determination of projects gross margin and net profit.
- Plans, coordinates, and assists in amending projects budget to reflect revenue alterations by fall or raise (variation orders, additional works, reductions).
- Details internal manpower utilization plans (deployment and layoff) for discipline, service, and/or specialty activities.
- Reviews purchase requests/purchase orders to verify quantities, prices, payments T&C, and GL cost accounting.
- Performs tracking of interim payment applications (submission, approval, return), and presents reports on the payment-related aspects in terms of providing the adequate justifications regarding deductions, penalties, withholdings, if any.
- Develops monthly reports on projects progress status, billing position (under/over billed amounts), work in progress adjustments if required.
- Assists in generating realistic cash flow projections which allow the company to realize its financial health, cash position, solvency, and any deficits may be expected in its projects.
- Controls and analyzes of projects expenses against the approved budget costs and identifies any deviations thereof.
- Maintains producing of projects monthly variance analysis report which show deviations form budget, the amount of accrual costs, the P&L statement, and any other figures may be required to reflect the project status which let executives make their decisions.
Education & experience:
- Engineering background with a bachelor's degree in any engineering disciplines.
- Minimum 8 years Cost Control Experience.
- Candidate must be familiar with the accounting cycle, PnL financial statement, and trial balance particulars.
- AACE certification or similar is preferred.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.
