Job Title: Pre-Sales Engineer Government Training Solutions

Location: Cairo

Department: Sales Reports to: Director of Pre-Sales

Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking a technically skilled and government-savvy Pre-Sales Engineer to support the growth of Classera's training and upskilling solutions in the public sector. This role is focused on working with ministries, government agencies, civil service entities, and state-owned enterprises, helping them evaluate and adopt digital learning platforms for large-scale training and capacity-building initiatives.

You will work closely with sales, product, and implementation teams to translate workforce development needs into scalable, high-impact technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Engineering & Demonstration

  • Collaborate with the public sector sales team to understand the strategic training goals of government clients.
  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations that showcase Classera's platform capabilities for civil service training, leadership development, digital skills, and sector-specific upskilling.
  • Present solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including ministers, directors, HR and L&D heads, and CIOs.

Technical Advisory & Tender Support

  • Serve as the technical lead during the public sector sales cycle, advising on integrations, deployment models, localization, and scalability.
  • Draft technical responses for RFPs/RFQs and ensure compliance with government IT standards, procurement regulations, and data residency requirements.
  • Work with product and legal teams to ensure proposals meet security, accessibility, and compliance needs in each country.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Engage with senior government officials, procurement officers, and digital transformation leads to align Classera's solutions with national human capital strategies.
  • Participate in government-led innovation programs, pilots, and forums related to workforce development.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with implementation and customer success teams to ensure technical accuracy and delivery readiness post-sale.
  • Provide feedback to product teams on localization requirements and sector-specific feature needs.

Industry Representation

  • Represent Classera at public sector expos, government conferences, and training technology summits.
  • Contribute to positioning Classera as a thought leader in public sector digital skilling and e-government transformation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education Technology, or a related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 46 years of experience in pre-sales or solution engineering for government clients, ideally in EdTech, e-learning, or SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, digital training mandates, and national skilling programs.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English; excellent presentation, technical writing, and client-facing skills.
  • Familiarity with government compliance, security standards, and infrastructure constraints in MENA countries.
  • Willingness to travel for government meetings, pilot deployments, and strategic demos.
