Bid Pricing for Design Consultancies Not Construction

Location: Abu Dhabi

Salary: 20k - 25k AED a month

An established multidisciplinary design consultancy in Abu Dhabi is looking to appoint a Pricing Specialist to support the preparation of commercial proposals and tender submissions across landscape architecture and infrastructure engineering projects.

This is a key commercial role within the business, working closely with technical teams and leadership to develop competitive consultancy fee structures and pricing strategies on major regional developments.

The position would suit someone with experience pricing professional consultancy services (not construction cost estimation) who enjoys working collaboratively across disciplines and contributing to successful bid outcomes.

About the Role

You will play an important role in supporting the commercial success of the practice by developing robust pricing models and consultancy fee proposals aligned with project scope and company financial targets.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing consultancy fee proposals and pricing models for landscape architecture and infrastructure engineering design projects

Developing man-hour estimates, staffing plans and resource loading in collaboration with discipline leads and project managers

Supporting the preparation of commercial proposals and tender submissions for new consultancy opportunities

Reviewing RFP and RFQ documentation to develop appropriate pricing strategies

Building pricing structures based on scope, deliverables, programme and resource requirements

Ensuring proposals align with internal financial targets, margins and commercial policies

Maintaining internal rate cards, pricing benchmarks and historical project fee data

Carrying out pricing analysis and scenario modelling to support decision making during bid preparation

Assisting with commercial clarifications and negotiations where required

Contributing to the development of internal pricing tools, templates and proposal processes

About You

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Finance or Cost Engineering

Minimum 5+ years experience in pricing, bid support or commercial proposal preparation within an architectural or engineering consultancy

Strong experience developing consultancy fee proposals based on man-hour estimates and resource planning

Previous experience working within international multidisciplinary consultancies in the GCC - ideally UAE or KSA

Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills

Ability to interpret technical scope and translate into pricing structures

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling

Confident coordinating with multidisciplinary design and business development teams

Experience supporting proposals for large-scale development or infrastructure projects

Fluent English required - Arabic would be advantageous
